Unión means “union” in both English and Spanish.

We chose this name intentionally—it reflects who we are and how we practice. We believe that connection is medicine—through relationship, community, and reciprocity.

We are a collective of perinatally trained therapists with hospital experience, offering accessible and trauma-informed therapy in English and Spanish.

At Unión Family Counseling, we recognize the importance of relationships both within ourselves and with those we share our lives with.

Through the therapeutic alliance, we can gently discover your unique needs and support you in the process of m/taking space for these so that you can begin to show up as the best version of yourself, for your loved ones.

Together, we can work to understand and unburden beliefs that are getting in the way of your true Self, paving the way for healing and growth.

Unión is founded on the practice of cultural humility, honoring and recognizing your unique heritage and context as part of your identity, and offering you the supportive environment you need to explore how these form you.

Unión is proudly founded by Madres Latinas. Here, we have a deep understanding of the multicultural experience in parenting.

Unión represents a bridge—between languages, lived experiences, and mutual aid. As we grow, this includes expanding our California based work into our beautiful island of Puerto Rico, creating more opportunities for community-based healing.
